One month after their announcement in China, Oppo's Reno16 and Reno16 Pro are now making their debut in global markets, albeit with some modifications.

Oppo Reno16 and 16 Pro arrive globally with altered specs

The most significant change lies in the chipset selection, where the global Reno16 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super, compared to the Chinese variant's Dimensity 9500s. The base Reno16 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The Pro version is available with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage, while the standard model comes in 8/256GB and 8/512GB configurations.

Additionally, the global Reno16 Pro is fitted with a slightly smaller 6,700mAh Si-C battery, down from the 7,000mAh capacity of the Chinese model. In some regions, the standard Reno16 also features a 6,700mAh battery, while European models will utilize a 6,000mAh version. All Reno16 devices support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging.

On a positive note, the global Reno16 Pro offers a faster 144Hz refresh rate display. It boasts a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, similar to the Reno16, although the latter is limited to 120Hz. Both displays are capable of peak local brightness up to 3,600 nits and feature optical in-display fingerprint sensors.

Camera-wise, the Pro model retains the same configuration as its Chinese counterpart, featuring a 200MP main lens equipped with Samsung’s S5KHP5 sensor, alongside a 50MP ultrawide (GC50F6) and a 50MP telephoto lens (Samsung JN5) with 3.5x optical zoom.

The non-Pro Reno16 features the same telephoto and ultrawide lenses but opts for a lower-resolution 50MP main camera powered by a Sony LYT-600 sensor. Both models run on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 on top and offer IP68/IP69/P69K ingress protection.
