The Moto G Max features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, boasts IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and complies with the MIL-STD-810H standard for durability. It remains uncertain whether Motorola will introduce the Moto G Max moniker in other markets, or if it will remain exclusive to Brazil while the G87 branding is used elsewhere. The rationale for different branding remains unexplained, though it is a common practice within the industry.
