The highly anticipated Tecno Pova 8 5G now has an official launch date. Today, the brand announced that the device will debut in India on June 11 at 12 PM local time.
Tecno has unveiled the phone's design through a short teaser video, which can be viewed below. The video showcases a small dot matrix display integrated into the camera island on the back of the handset. The design appears to draw inspiration from Nothing, featuring both the dot matrix display and a faux transparent aesthetic.

Engraving on the rear panel indicates that the Pova 8 5G boasts an impressive 8,000 mAh battery, matching the Pova Curve 2 as Tecno's largest battery to date. Like its predecessor, the Pova 8 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC, as indicated by a previous Geekbench benchmark. It will feature options of 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, and will run on Android 16 from launch. Its FCC certification also suggests that the battery will support fast charging at up to 45W via wired connection.
