Apple's Enhanced AI Siri: Beta Launch with Waitlist Required

Source: Date:

On Monday, June 8, Apple is set to unveil iOS 27, which is expected to feature an upgraded AI-enhanced Siri powered by Google’s Gemini models. This highly anticipated release follows a series of delays since the initial announcement of the AI-driven Siri in June 2024.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the new Siri will initially be available as a beta version, and users will need to join a waitlist to access it. The duration of this waitlist remains uncertain; it is unclear whether it will only be active during the iOS 27 beta period or if it will continue after the official launch for all users in September.

The new AI Siri will require a waitlist to try, new report claims

For those eager to experience the new Siri firsthand, patience will be required as Apple processes each user's position on the waitlist. This revamped Siri will function as a comprehensive chatbot, similar to Gemini and ChatGPT, and will be integrated across all of Apple’s operating systems. Additionally, Gurman reports that conversations with Siri will sync across Apple devices through iCloud, and users will have the option to set Siri to forget their interaction history every 30 days, once a year, or never.
