Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Fold, rumored to be called the Galaxy Z Fold8, has become the focus of numerous leaks. In a series of posts on X, tipster Ice Universe revealed several key specifications of the Fold8, including its weight, which is reportedly 201 grams. For comparison, Huawei's Pura X Max, with similar dimensions to the Fold8, weighs 229 grams.

Meanwhile, Samsung's flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra, which does not feature a folding screen, weighs 214 grams. This highlights a recurring trend, as seen last year between the Galaxy S25 Ultra (218g) and the Z Fold7 (215g).

Additionally, leaks confirm that the Fold8 will measure just 4.5mm when unfolded, surpassing the Huawei Pura X Max at 5.2mm, though it remains slightly thicker than the Z Fold7, which measures 4.2mm when open.

Furthermore, Ice Universe asserts that the Z Fold8 will feature a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W wired charging capability. The foldable device is also expected to have a 50MP main camera with native support for Samsung's 24MP resolution mode. The Z Fold8 is anticipated to sport a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a minimal display crease.
