Helium Mobile has announced its acquisition by Noble Mobile. Launched in 2023, Helium Mobile is known for its hybrid network, utilizing T-Mobile as an MVNO while also featuring a decentralized 'people-powered' network with over 100,000 user-operated mini cell towers across the United States.
Helium made headlines with its free Zero Plan, which was introduced last year and discontinued a few weeks ago. The company also attracted attention with its crypto reward system, which was particularly popular before the rise of AI as the dominant trend. While the brand will continue to exist, ownership will now be transferred to Noble Mobile.

Following the acquisition, Noble Mobile has pledged to maintain the 'people-powered' Helium Network, although the duration of this commitment remains unspecified. Helium Mobile assures subscribers that there will be 'no scrambling and no lost coverage' during the transition. Users can keep their current phone numbers and continue to enjoy the same quality of service they are accustomed to.
The founding team of Helium Mobile will now concentrate on developing an intelligent connectivity platform. This platform aims to expand on the capabilities demonstrated by the Helium Network, enabling any carrier or connected service, including Noble Mobile, to build upon it.
