This Week's Best Tech Deals: Discounts on Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Google Pixel 10, and Motorola Razr

This week, Amazon Germany offers additional discounts on several high-profile smartphones. Let's first take a quick look at the Xiaomi 17T series, which launched last week.

While not much has changed, if you have a Prime Student subscription, you can enjoy a 5% discount. This translates to a saving of €50 on the Xiaomi 17T Pro, which is barely a week old. The Xiaomi 17T Pro with 256GB storage is available on mi.com for €900. Amazon only stocks the 512GB variant, priced the same as Xiaomi’s store at €1,000.

This positions it awkwardly against the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which is now priced at €1,200, just €200 more than the 17T Pro. The Ultra features superior cameras with a 50MP 1” main sensor (compared to 1/1.31”), a 200MP telephoto module with 3.2x-4.3x optical zoom (compared to 50MP 5x), and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor (compared to 12MP). Additionally, it features an LTPO display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset (compared to the Dimensity 9500). However, the battery on the Ultra is smaller at 6,000mAh, compared to the 7,000mAh on the 17 Pro, with charging speeds being similar. Notably, the USB-C port on the Ultra is a USB 3.2 port with DisplayPort capabilities.

While the Xiaomi 17T has a 6.59” display, it's not excessively small, as the Xiaomi 17 features a more compact 6.3” LTPO display. Like the Ultra, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and sports a triple camera setup with three 50MP sensors: a 1/1.31” main sensor, a 2.6x telephoto, and a 102° ultra-wide. Interestingly, the 17T has the superior telephoto with a 50MP sensor and 5x capability. Battery capacities are surprisingly close despite the size differences; the Xiaomi 17 has a 6,330mAh battery for Europe, while the 17T has a 6,500mAh battery.

Next, the Google Pixel phones are also seeing significant discounts. The Google Pixel 10 Pro features a substantial discount of €250, plus an additional €135 off at checkout, although only the 128GB variant is available. It’s worth noting that the standard Pixel 10 has a larger discount of €350, with an additional €50 off at checkout. This is an appealing price drop, and the 256GB units are available. While both the 10 and 10 Pro utilize the same chipset, the Pro model excels with improved camera capabilities.

The Google Pixel 10a is also benefiting from a decent discount, ensuring it remains distinct from the more capable Pixel 10.

Lastly, the Motorola Razr 70 flip foldable is available with a modest €30 price cut, which is enhanced by an additional €134 discount at checkout. The Razr flip features a 3.6” cover display and a 6.9” inner display (the latter being an LTPO panel), a dual camera setup of 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide lenses, an IP48 rating, Dimensity 7450X chipset, and a 4,800mAh battery with both 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.

Additionally, the Motorola Razr Fold, the first book-style foldable from Moto, offers a remarkable €312 discount at checkout despite being relatively new. The phone, while not equipped with a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, features a 6.6” (21:9) cover display and an 8.1” inner display (both LTPO), a substantial 6,000mAh battery (with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging), and a triple camera setup with three 50MP sensors: a main sensor (1/1.28”), a 3x telephoto, and a 122° ultra-wide. Moreover, this model boasts excellent water resistance with both IP48 and IP49 ratings.
