A recent leak from China indicates that the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will feature a 200MP main camera equipped with a 1/1.28" new generation LOFIC sensor. Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to possess a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, featuring 3x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture, utilizing a 1/1.56" sensor. This telephoto lens will support macro photography at a distance of approximately 15cm.
This configuration represents a significant upgrade from the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which had a 50MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Notably, the macro focus distance will also be reduced in the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, dropping from 30cm to 15cm.
Xiaomi 17 Pro MaxPrevious rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC. It is expected to sport a 6.9-inch flat LIPO OLED display and retain its predecessor's signature rear display. The model is also set to feature enhanced speakers and an improved vibration motor.
