We have completed our battery life and charging tests for the Oppo Pad 5 Matte Display (also known as the Pad Air5).
This tablet features a robust 10,050mAh battery paired with the 4nm Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor and a 12.1-inch 120Hz IPS LCD. A standout characteristic of this model is its Matte Display Edition, which offers an anti-glare screen. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified, boasting a 97% reduction in reflections and a 70% decrease in harmful blue light.
In real-world usage, the display performs admirably. It remains easily legible even in bright sunlight, making it a suitable choice for those who work on the go.

Moving on to the battery life test, the Oppo Pad Air5 achieved an Active Use Score of 13 hours, which is commendable. The breakdown of its performance is as follows: approximately 49 hours of calling, 13 hours of web browsing, nearly 14.5 hours of video playback, and exactly 7 hours of gaming, with calling measured via WhatsApp.
While these results are solid, they fall short compared to the similarly-specced OnePlus Pad Go 2, which shares the same 10,050mAh battery. The OnePlus pad outperformed the Oppo by an hour and a half in the Active Use Score, 13 hours more in the call test, an extra hour in browsing, almost 1.5 hours in video playback, and 1 hour more in the gaming segment.
In terms of charging performance, the Oppo Pad Air5 didn't make a strong impression, primarily due to its relatively slow charging speed of 33W (which is still branded as SuperVOOC).

It reached 16% within 15 minutes, 33% after half an hour, and almost 2 hours to fully charge to 100%. Nonetheless, it kept pace, speed-wise, with the Honor MagicPad4, which has a much faster 66W charging capability.
