Today, Realme has expanded its 16 Series with the launch of the Realme 16T, bringing the total number of smartphones in the lineup to four.
The standout feature of the Realme 16T is its impressive 8,000 mAh battery, claimed to last up to 7 years and provide 3 days of usage on a single charge. This battery supports 45W fast charging and can also double as a power bank with its 15W reverse wired charging capability. Additionally, it offers all-scenario bypass charging.
Another key feature of the Realme 16T is its 50MP primary camera on the back, accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor. The primary camera utilizes the Sony IMX852 sensor, marketed by Realme as the "50MP Sony IMX852 AI Camera." The smartphone offers several AI-enhanced photography features, including AI Portrait Glow, which analyzes ambient lighting and applies supplemental effects to enhance the subject's brightness.
AI Portrait Glow provides four distinct lighting effects: Flash, Studio Light, Natural Light, and Rim Light.
In addition to AI features, the Realme 16T incorporates LumaColor IMAGE technology for producing "True-to-Life Skin Tones" in photographs.
The rear camera module includes Aura Flash and a selfie mirror, providing additional convenience. The back cover showcases the Gleaming Wings Design, available exclusively in the Aurora Green colorway.
On the front, the device features a 6.8" HD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The display is equipped with a centered punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera, while the fingerprint scanner is conveniently located in the power button on the right side of the device.
Under the hood, the Realme 16T is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It operates on Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, although the company has not disclosed the duration of software support it will receive.
Additional features of the Realme 16T include a 5,300 mm2 vapor chamber for effective cooling, MIL-STD-810H certification, and multiple ingress protection ratings including IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K, and IP69 Pro. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 2TB.
The Realme 16T will be available in three colors: Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and the India-exclusive Starlight Red. It offers three memory configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, with prices set at INR29,999, INR31,999, and INR34,999, respectively.
