The Xiaomi 17 series welcomes its fourth member, the Xiaomi 17 Max. This device serves as the more understated counterpart to the 17 Pro Max, featuring a higher-resolution 200MP main camera while forgoing the secondary rear screen. Additionally, it comes equipped with a powerful 8,000 mAh Si-C battery.

Xiaomi claims that the 17 Max can sustain over two days of normal use, with the battery designed to retain up to 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles or more than four years of daily use. When it's time to recharge, the device supports charging speeds of up to 100W via cable and 50W wirelessly. It also enables up to 22.5W reverse wired charging for other devices.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Xiaomi 17 Max key specsThe device boasts a generous 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,608 × 1,200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display can reach peak brightness levels of 3,500 nits and incorporates a 32MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout along with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

On the rear, the standout feature is the 200MP main camera utilizing Samsung’s HP9 sensor, which supports a dynamic range of up to 13.5, has an ƒ/1.65 aperture, and includes optical image stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom capabilities, which also excels in macro photography, and a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 17mm equivalent focal length.

The software experience is powered by HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, and the device features full IP68 and IP69 ingress protection.
