Realme has expanded its 16 Series with the introduction of the Realme 16T, bringing the total number of smartphones in the lineup to four.
The standout feature of the Realme 16T is its impressive 8,000 mAh battery, which is claimed to last up to 7 years and provide 3 days of usage on a single charge. The battery supports 45W charging and can also serve as a power bank, offering 15W reverse wired charging. Furthermore, it includes all-scenario bypass charging functionality.
Another notable feature is the 50MP primary camera on the rear, accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor. The primary camera utilizes the Sony IMX852 sensor and is marketed by Realme as the "50MP Sony IMX852 AI Camera." This designation highlights its AI-powered photography capabilities, including AI Portrait Glow, which intelligently analyzes the lighting around subjects and applies supplementary effects to enhance their brightness.
The AI Portrait Glow feature offers four lighting effects: Flash, Studio Light, Natural Light, and Rim Light.
In addition to the AI features, the Realme 16T incorporates LumaColor IMAGE technology for achieving true-to-life skin tones in photographs.
The rear camera module also includes Aura Flash and a selfie mirror, features that are quite common in smartphones today. The back cover of the Realme 16T showcases the Gleaming Wings Design, which is exclusive to the Aurora Green color variant.
On the front, the device sports a 6.8-inch HD+ 144Hz LCD display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The display features a centered punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera, while the fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button located on the right side of the device.
Under the hood, the Realme 16T is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC and offers up to 8GB of RAM. It operates on Realme UI 7.0 out of the box; however, Realme has not disclosed the duration of software support expected for this model.
Additional features of the Realme 16T include a 5,300 mm2 vapor chamber for enhanced cooling, MIL-STD-810H certification, and robust IP ratings (IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K, and IP69 Pro). The phone also offers a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 2TB.
The Realme 16T is available in three colors: Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and the India-exclusive Starlight Red. There are three memory configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, priced at INR 29,999, INR 31,999, and INR 34,999, respectively.
