HMD Vibe 2 5G Launches with Impressive Features: 6.75-Inch Display and 6,000mAh Battery

After a series of teasers, HMD has officially launched the Vibe 2 5G in India. This smartphone serves as the successor to the HMD Vibe, which debuted in September 2025, and comes with several enhancements, including a larger battery.

The Vibe 2 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display that boasts HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset, the phone can be configured with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also supports storage expansion via a microSD card slot of up to 1TB.

In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera alongside an unspecified auxiliary lens. For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera.

The HMD Vibe 2 5G houses a substantial 6,000mAh battery but only supports 18W wired charging. It operates on Android 16 out-of-the-box and is expected to receive two years of security updates.

Additions like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 rating further enhance its utility. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.

The Vibe 2 5G will be available in Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink color options.

Concerning pricing, the base model featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at INR 10,999 ($115), while the 4GB/128GB variant is available for INR 11,999 ($125). It will be sold through Flipkart starting May 26.
