Apple's iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max prototypes are currently being tested with quad-curved screens, according to a recent rumor from the well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
Earlier reports in April indicated that Apple's 2027 Pro series would feature such panels. This development is notable given that quad-curved screens were once popular among Chinese Android smartphone manufacturers, who have since shifted back to flat designs, likely inspired by Apple. As a result, we can anticipate a resurgence of quad-curved displays in Android flagship models by late 2027 and into 2028.
In 2027, Apple will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, which was unveiled in January 2007 and became available for purchase in June of that year. This milestone may prompt the company to alter the naming conventions, potentially changing the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max to a different designation, although no official decision has been leaked as of yet.
