RedMagic Set to Launch Astra 2 Gaming Tablet This June

Source: Date:

RedMagic introduced the Astra gaming tablet globally last June, and it is now preparing to unveil its successor. The new model is expected to be called Astra 2 in international markets, while in China, it will be named the RedMagic Tablet 5 Pro. Notably, the company is skipping the number 4 due to cultural beliefs regarding tetraphobia.

During the recent launch of the 11S Pro series, RedMagic teased the upcoming tablet, as seen in the image below. The official announcement is scheduled for June, exactly one year after the initial launch of its predecessor.

This is when RedMagic is launching its next gaming tablet

RedMagic has indicated that the new tablet will incorporate ten advanced technologies, although specific details have yet to be disclosed. We anticipate that the company will begin revealing specifications in the coming days and weeks.

In the meantime, a leak from March suggested that the Astra 2 would feature a screen with a 200Hz refresh rate, similar dimensions to its predecessor, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and a substantial 9,000 mAh battery. Compared to the original Astra, the new model boasts an upgraded chipset, a larger battery, and an enhanced refresh rate.
