RedMagic Set to Launch Astra 2 Gaming Tablet: What We Know So Far

Source: Date:

RedMagic revealed the Astra gaming tablet internationally last June, and its successor is on the brink of launch. While it is expected to be named Astra 2 globally, in China it will be branded as the RedMagic Tablet 5 Pro, skipping the number 4 due to cultural preferences.

During the unveiling of the 11S Pro series, RedMagic began teasing the new tablet, as shown in the image below. The company announced that the tablet will be officially launched in June, nearly one year after the release of its predecessor.

This is when RedMagic is launching its next gaming tablet

According to RedMagic, the upcoming tablet will incorporate ten advanced technologies, although specific details have yet to be disclosed. We anticipate that the brand will gradually reveal specifications in the coming days and weeks.

In the meantime, a leak from March suggested that the Astra 2 will feature a display with a 200Hz refresh rate, a similar size to its predecessor, and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, coupled with an upgraded battery of approximately 9,000 mAh. Compared to the original Astra, this new model promises enhancements in chipset performance, battery life, and refresh rate.
