For the past few months, speculation has intensified regarding whether Apple will reduce the size of the Dynamic Island punch-hole cutout on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Recently, a tipster on X shared new CAD files for these devices, which are likely sourced from a case manufacturer that received them from Apple. The files indicate that the punch-hole cutout at the top of the screen is noticeably smaller than the current one found in the Pro series since the iPhone 14 Pro.

While it may appear as an optical illusion, the cutout seems slightly taller, but significantly narrower. If accurate, this change likely means that Apple has successfully integrated some Touch ID sensors beneath the display. As a result, with these sensors no longer part of the cutout, its size can be reduced.
Given that the rear design of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to remain largely unchanged from their predecessors, the reduced size of the Dynamic Island may represent the most significant design modification for this year's iPhone Pro models.
