Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra remains some time away from its official launch; however, early leaks are already surfacing. A recent tip has revealed insights regarding the phone's primary camera sensor, along with a redesigned rear camera module.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, who shared this information on Weibo, Samsung is currently testing a 200MP main sensor equipped with a variable aperture for its next flagship model.
Samsung Galaxy S26 UltraThe technology of variable aperture, previously featured in the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, enables the camera sensor to physically adjust its aperture in response to different lighting conditions. This feature enhances performance in both bright and low-light environments.
Interestingly, Apple is also rumored to be introducing a variable aperture rear camera in its forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
