Vivo Y05 Launches with Unisoc SoC and Impressive Battery Life

The vivo Y04 was launched in February 2025, and now, one year later, its successor, the Y05, has officially debuted in the Middle East.

This new smartphone features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1600, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. It is powered by the 4G-only Unisoc T7225 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and expandable storage options of 64 or 128GB. For photography, it relies on an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Y05 sports a metal frame with a plastic back and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. It has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, along with an RGB notification LED on the back. Powering these features is a substantial 6,500 mAh battery, which supports 15W wired charging.

The device operates on Android 16 with vivo's OriginOS 6 overlay. It measures 167.4 x 77.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 209g, available in black and white color options. The pricing for the Y05 is set at an affordable $109.
