The fifth beta version of One UI 8.5 has just been released, introducing the February Android security patch alongside an upgraded Bixby, now referred to as a conversational device agent.
In an official press release, Samsung outlined the new features of Bixby in One UI 8.5, which is anticipated to launch with the Galaxy S26 series on February 25.

According to Samsung, the enhanced Bixby will empower users to control and manage device settings using natural language. For instance, a user can request to keep the screen on while viewing, and Bixby will automatically activate the 'Keep screen on while viewing' setting.
The revamped Bixby also offers real-time web search capabilities, allowing the chatbot to provide the latest results for user inquiries. These results appear directly within the Bixby interface.

If you're using the latest One UI 8.5 Beta 5, you can experience the new Bixby functionality. Currently, it is available in select regions, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US, with a wider rollout expected soon.
