Google introduced AirDrop support in Quick Share for the Pixel 10 series last year, enabling seamless file sharing with iPhone users. The company is now extending this feature to additional devices.
In an official X post, Google confirmed that the Pixel 9 series will soon receive AirDrop support in Quick Share. This feature will be available for the base Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the coming days.
With this update, the Pixel 9 series will enable file sharing with iPhone users via Quick Share. The feature may be rolled out through either a server-side update or a software update.
If you feel excluded, Google has also announced its plans to bring AirDrop compatibility in Quick Share to more Android devices beyond just the Pixel series.
