Samsung is poised to unveil the Galaxy S26 series next week at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. In the lead-up to this announcement, prominent tipster Ice Universe has revealed details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature an enhanced selfie camera. While it will maintain a 12MP front-facing camera, identical to that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it will utilize a new sensor.
Galaxy S26 Ultra leaked press imageReports suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will transition to a Sony sensor, replacing the Samsung ISOCELL 3LU found in its predecessor. Other specifications are expected to remain consistent, including a sensor size of 1/3.2 inches, a pixel size of 1.12µm, and an f/2.2 aperture.
In addition, the front camera is anticipated to provide a broader 85-degree field of view, with the hole-punch cutout slightly larger than that of the S25 Ultra.
While the exact enhancements the Sony sensor will bring to the Galaxy S26 Ultra remain uncertain, the wait for more details is nearly over. For additional information about the phone, click over here.
