Tecno has officially unveiled its Camon 50 series in several African markets ahead of its scheduled launch at MWC next month. The Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro share similar specifications, with the Pro model featuring a curved display and a telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

The Camon 50 Pro is equipped with a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display that boasts FHD+ resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. It includes a 32MP front-facing camera and an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. In contrast, the standard Camon 50 features identical display specs and camera capabilities but opts for a flat screen.
Both models are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G200 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the rear, both phones feature a 50MP main camera with a 23mm equivalent lens, utilizing Sony’s LYT700C sensor (1/1.56-inch) and optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, they include an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 14mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.2 aperture. The Camon 50 Pro is further enhanced with an additional 50MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

Both devices run on HiOS 16, based on Android 16, and integrate Tecno’s AI suite. They are also equipped with robust 6,150mAh batteries supporting 45W wired charging, alongside IP69K/IP69/IP68 ingress protection ratings.

The Camon 50 series is available in Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, Nebula Titanium, Fir Green, Lavender Mist, and Mint Cream colors. The Camon 50 Pro adds an Ethereal Blue option to this palette.

The pricing for the Camon 50 starts at KES 37,500 ($290), while the Camon 50 Pro is available from KES 44,000 ($341), and both models can be found through various online retailers in Kenya.
