The Tecno Pova Curve 2 has officially launched in India, boasting a sleek curved display and claiming the title of the slimmest phone equipped with an 8,000mAh battery. This model features a refreshed design compared to its predecessor, the original Pova Curve.
In terms of display, the Pova Curve 2 showcases a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Furthermore, it offers a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.
For protection, the display is safeguarded by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i, while the device itself carries an IP64 rating and is SGS certified for drop protection.
On the rear, a dual camera setup is present, featuring a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 13MP front-facing camera integrated within a hole-punch cutout.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is worth noting that the previous Pova Curve was equipped with the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset.
A standout feature of the Pova Curve 2 is its substantial 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging.
Additionally, it includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR sensor, a single speaker enhanced with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C connectivity, dual SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The Pova Curve 2 operates on Android 16 with HiOS 16 and is expected to receive two future Android OS upgrades.
The phone is also equipped with the G1 signal enhancement and SE1 Wi-Fi enhancement chipsets, promoting improved connectivity. With a thickness of 7.42mm and a weight of 195g, the Pova Curve 2 will be available in India starting February 20.
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 will come in three color variants: Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium. It is priced at INR 27,999 ($310) for the 8GB/128GB model and INR 29,999 ($330) for the 8GB/256GB version.
