The fascination of Chinese smartphone manufacturers with Apple and their inclination to mimic the Cupertino giant's designs appear to be unwavering. Recently, a new render surfaced in China, allegedly showcasing the upcoming Xiaomi 18, which is set to be officially revealed in September.
While the unveiling is still some time away, this render provides an intriguing glimpse of the device, which closely resembles the iPhone 16 Pro. Take a look:

The parallels with Apple's design for 2024 are impossible to ignore. The camera island design shows significant similarity, though Xiaomi's version is somewhat larger. The curvature of the corners appears almost identical, making it difficult for the average observer to distinguish between the two if the Xiaomi and Leica logos were absent.
According to past rumors, the Xiaomi 18 will feature a 6.4-inch OLED display, along with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC, rather than the 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, which will reportedly be reserved for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max due to its premium pricing.
