In the teaser titled “Your heart (and ears) will be set on us when you see this,” viewers are treated to a visual of a rose-colored sheet draping over a pair of headphones, hinting at a fresh release. Speculations suggest that this might not be a new model but rather an enticing Sandpink color variant of the popular WH-1000XM6 over-ear headphones. Leaked information from Roland Quandt on Bluesky initially pointed towards a new color for earbuds but has since been clarified to reference the headphones.
More Audio Innovations in the Pipeline
The WH-1000XM6 series seems to be gaining color alternatives, but that's not the only development on the horizon. The WF-1000XM6 earbuds are also expected to feature a new design and possibly upgraded internals, including a new processor and speaker system. However, major design changes appear to be minimal, potentially making it tough for Sony’s earbuds to compete with rivals like the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung's next-generation Galaxy Buds.
