Just a day after teasing its upcoming flagship SUV, the XPeng GX, a Chinese media outlet reported that the company is currently testing Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities on this model.
While the teaser post on Weibo did not explicitly confirm this, it suggested that the GX would include Level 4 autonomous driving. Whether this feature will be standard or available as an add-on remains to be seen.
According to reports, a camouflaged XPeng GX has been spotted on the streets of Guangzhou, indicating that the vehicle is undergoing testing for Level 4 autonomy. This development is not surprising, as XPeng is widely regarded as one of the automakers with the most advanced autonomous driving technologies.
The GX is expected to be equipped with four Turing AI chips, developed by XPeng, each offering approximately 700 TOPS of computing power, sufficient for advanced autonomous features.
