The iQOO 15 Ultra is set to launch in China next month, and recent images shared by iQOO have unveiled its design and color options. These visuals also highlighted the right frame of the phone, which will include touch-sensitive shoulder triggers featuring haptic feedback.

This information was revealed in a Weibo post by iQOO's product manager, who detailed that the shoulder triggers would offer a 600Hz sampling rate and utilize two independent control chips to reduce latency. The triggers will be sweat-resistant, incorporating an "anti-sweat" algorithm to maximize user experience.

The product manager further elaborated on the benefits of these touch-sensitive shoulder triggers over traditional button triggers. Importantly, a linear motor will replicate a press, ensuring consistent performance even after extended use.

Additionally, the touch-sensitive triggers are expected to have an "almost unlimited" lifespan, as they will not endure mechanical wear and tear. Designed to fit seamlessly within the phone's frame, these triggers will minimize the accumulation of dirt and will not suffer from latency issues commonly associated with traditional triggers.

The decision to incorporate shoulder triggers is notable for enhancing the gaming experience. Many genres, particularly first-person shooters (FPS), come with complex on-screen controls, and these shoulder triggers will support presets and combinations, providing gamers with easier gameplay.

Furthermore, according to iQOO's product manager, user feedback indicates that iQOO customers are enthusiastic about gaming, and the iQOO 15 Ultra is specifically designed with this audience in mind.

Previous rumors suggested that the iQOO 15 Ultra would include an active cooling fan and potentially house the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. More information is expected to emerge in the upcoming weeks.
