iQOO is set to launch the iQOO 15R in India soon. While the brand has provided a preview of the device's design, specific technical details were initially scarce. However, recent information from Geekbench has revealed the chipset powering the iQOO 15R.

The iQOO 15R, identified by the model code I2508, appears in the Geekbench database with an octa-core CPU configuration, featuring two cores clocked at 3.8GHz and six cores running at 3.32GHz. Additionally, the listing indicates the presence of the Adreno 829 GPU, suggesting that the iQOO 15R is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.

The device that was tested on Geekbench ran Android 16 and included 8GB of RAM. It is anticipated that multiple RAM configurations will be available upon release. In terms of performance, the iQOO 15R achieved scores of 2,590 in the single-core tests and 8,423 in the multi-core tests, with a GPU score of 21,075.

Promoted as a smartphone offering "power-packed performance with a perfect fit," the iQOO 15R is rumored to be a variant of the recently launched iQOO Z11 Turbo.

If these rumors hold true, the iQOO 15R will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, options for up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, OriginOS 6, and a vibrant 6.59-inch 144Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260p. The front-facing camera is expected to be 32MP, while the rear will host a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 200MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Powering the iQOO 15R will be a robust 7,600 mAh Si/C battery with support for 100W fast charging. Additional features are expected to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, reverse wired charging capability, and IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.
