Sony has unveiled its latest innovation, the LinkBuds Clip. As indicated by the name, these earbuds feature a clip-on design that has gained popularity among earbud manufacturers.
The primary advantage of this design is that it allows users to enjoy their music or audio content while still staying aware of their surroundings. Sony has crafted these earbuds for a "comfortable, stable fit across various ear types," featuring removable Fitting Cushions that make them suitable for all-day wear.
The LinkBuds Clip come equipped with three listening modes: Standard, Voice Boost, and Sound Leakage Reduction. The companion app offers a ten-band EQ, and Sony assures users of "excellent call quality," enhanced by a bone conduction sensor that picks up the user's voice and an AI-powered noise reduction system that minimizes background sounds.
With a battery life of up to nine hours, and 37 hours when considering the charging case, the LinkBuds Clip are well-suited for extended use. Fast charging capabilities provide an hour of playback after just three minutes of charging. Additionally, the earbuds boast an IPX4 rating for splash resistance and support Multipoint connectivity.
The LinkBuds Clip are currently available in the US for $229.99 and in Canada for CAD 299.99, offered in colors such as black, greige, green, and lavender. Clip case covers and additional Fitting Cushions can be purchased directly from Sony for $24.99.
