Apple Fitness+ Launches in Japan: New Features and Trials Available

Apple expanded its Fitness+ service to 28 markets last month, including Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Taiwan. Contrary to earlier announcements about a launch in early 2026, Fitness+ is now available in Japan.

The subscription for Apple Fitness+ in Japan is priced at JPY980 per month or JPY7,800 annually. New users can enjoy a free one-month trial, while customers purchasing a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 are eligible for a three-month trial.

Apple Fitness+ is now available in Japan

Members of Anytime Fitness can access Apple Fitness+ as part of their membership, and those taking advantage of a free trial with Anytime Fitness can use Fitness+ for two full months at no charge.

In addition to the standard benefits, Apple Fitness+ users in Japan can explore 12 types of workouts and meditations, complete with Japanese audio and subtitles.

The service will also feature an Artist Spotlight series with the popular Japanese musical duo YOASOBI, and episodes of the "Time to Walk" audio experience will feature Japanese comedian and actress Naomi Watanabe.
