Redmi has been teasing the Turbo 5 Max for some time, but it won't be launching alone. Accompanying it is the standard Turbo 5, which has recently made an appearance on Geekbench.
This revelation indicates that there is an online listing for the device in the benchmark's database, as shown in the screenshot below. The benchmark results confirm that the Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC, which was unveiled less than a week ago. This aligns with a rumor from late December that correctly identified this chipset as the power source for the Turbo 5.
This chip is paired with 16GB of RAM in the prototype that underwent benchmarking, carrying the model number 2511FRT34C. The device is set to launch with Android 16 out of the box. While there is no official announcement date from Redmi yet, it is expected to be revealed by the end of this month. Stay tuned for updates.
