iPhone 18 Rumored to Feature Enhanced Display Brightness

Source: Date:

The upcoming iPhone 18 is expected to launch in early 2027, maintaining a display design similar to that of the current iPhone 17. However, a new leak indicates that it may offer significantly higher brightness levels.

According to tipster Instant Digital on Weibo, display manufacturer BOE could face challenges providing OLED panels for the iPhone 18 due to Apple's stringent brightness standards.

New leak suggests iPhone 18 may sport a brighter display

This suggests that the iPhone 18 could feature a display that is noticeably brighter than the iPhone 17, which has a typical maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, with HDR reaching up to 1,600 nits and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Additionally, leaks indicate that the iPhone 18 will sport a 6.27-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will include the Dynamic Island feature.

Interestingly, the iPhone 18 may also deviate from Apple’s traditional September launch schedule, potentially debuting in early 2027, alongside the budget-friendly iPhone 18e.
